Default Baby Whales (Pollimyrus castelnaui)

Has anyone else had these? ive had 2 now and i regret to inform you that i just had to flush my 2nd one... the first one my albino clawed frog ate... then i found another one and he was doing good then i came home tonight and fed him and he didnt look healthy.... i kept watching him then i looked up at him just a second ago and he was dead sucked up in the filters it was my girlfriends fish too so hell is gonna pay any ideas what happened?

ph is at 7.0 and the rest are normal... i just changed the water last saturday... he was in a 10gal tank with a cory cat and plecasimus
