| Depends on how big you want it to get. It grows like weeds. If you want to "stop" the growth, place the plug or rock on the bottom on the sand. Some ppl like to place the frag near the back of the glass so it can grow on it and not all over. _________ 9YR OLD 90G 30G w/d Mag18 150G skimmer 692w MH,yel&kole tang, foxface, midas&convict blenny,B&G chromies,Blk/yel fin chromie blackcap, nemo, neon goby,6line; Blastomussa Merleti,Acan ,BUBBLE,Torch,LTA, Goniopora(2), Acropora(2),Brain, Moon, assort zoas, yel& G star polyps, R&G open brain, P&B ricordia, montiporas, cup&candy corals, enias,B/G mush, flower ane(2), cherry red mussa, dusters, cleaning crew |

| Good to know, I think I'll relocate it from the 30lbs peice of rock it's on to a smaller one, i love the look of it but i dont want just that in my tank, I know the star polyps I have will grow pretty fast as well.
Say I want to relocate it from the plug to a rock, can i just use the superglue gel like i do with the SP's or do i need to attach them a different way. |

| sorry, the glue will not work.soon as you take it out of the water it will look like a pile of slime.just pin it between 2 rocks in low flow or lay it on some pebbles.in 2 days it will attach.or just put a rock against its base where its at then in a couple days it will be attached to both and you can cut it from the one you don't want it on.then you will have to scrape whats left off or it'll just come right back.it does'nt need a mouth to grow.it will grow from any peace of its body left behind. |

Sally Jo at GARF says that xenia simply will not thrive at temps much above 76 degrees.
I can honestly that those few that survived my recent overtemp have been doing very poorly at 80 degrees.
Try a bit lower temp on next go around with them..
