Tight Lipped is on a distinguished road

Default Frogspawn

The other day i was using a scrub on the glass, it was a stick with a blue scrub sponge on the end, well I accidentally touched my frogspawn and notices a bunch of the tips of the coral attached to the sponge.

I was wondering if I were to do this again and put those pieces into a petri dish with some crushed coral would the grow?

Anybody ideas?

Not absolutely 100% positive but I am going to say no. Corals like Frogspawn and Hammer and other LPS corals grow from the Stony head. That is where the actual body is at.

Unlike Mushrooms and Xenia which can be cut into small pieces and another complete one will grow from the pieces.

Odds are you picked up a large amount of stinging cells with your scrub pad.
