There are several ways you can do it. Just take some scissors and cut a piece off.

You can take an exacto knife and cut maybe an inch in from the edge and go all the way around in a donut shape. Then take the donut you get and cut that into several pieces and you'll have lots of them and a more symmetrical mother colony.

Place the frags in some good flow to help ward off disease on the cuts and you should be all set in no time.

dunno what those links say but lfs has instructed me how to do it several times, apparently a toadstool will eventually star to split and then you just razor blade it like everything else, anybody feel free to correct me though

You don't have to wait for the toadstool to split to frag it The link pretty much describes the fragging technique that JustPhish posted above.

Glue won't work because leathers slime up too much when you touch them for the glue to take hold. I like to use rubberbands instead.

You can try the gel glue but it probably won't work out too well because they can slime up and get unstuck from the glue.

There are several different ways you can do it. Pierce the frag with fishing string and tie it to a rock. Pierce with a toothpick and then rubberband the toothpick to a rock to hold down the frag. Or you can just place the frags in a small tupperware or bowl filled with rubble rock and let them attach on their own. You can cover it with bridal veil if you're worried about them blowing out from the current or getting picked on by curious tank inhabitants.

Good luck.
