It's a bit tricky, but if you a very carefull you can use an xacto to seperate the base from the rock, after that you should isolate the frag in a container with good flow on top of alot of small rubble tuill it takes hold. or if you have rock skills you can use a densist tool or tiny chisel to break a chunk from the actual rock.

Bruce,

Read up on fragging those zoas....they release palyotoxins(sp?) I know you need to wear glasses and probably gloves...they can be very toxic....

yup....i have noticed that is true...i appologize for overlooking that. hairy shrroms and zoos let of a pungent odor when fragged...that is the release of a defensive chemical. It irritates my skin a bit, if you got it in ur eye it would prob burn like heck. I always take mine out to frag them, a min of air wont kill em. but if poss its always better to orchistrate under water.

Here's a series of pics of my F4 harvest (the 4th generation total...cut three x's since first post). The "mother colony" is already up and fully pulsing with no signs or trauma....besides missing a stalk. The cutting is also already pulsing.
