Ok...so I go to my friends house last night to pick up a Maxi Mini Anemone that he is holding for me and it is absolutely beautiful. After reading how easy it is to cut these Anemones, I placed him into a plastic container at the bottom of my tank. Now I am trying to decide to cut him and make 2 or to just release and enjoy him. He is approximately 2 1/2 inches across and looked really good this morning.

I am torn both ways. I want to enjoy him now but the thought of cloning him is appealing to me. I really would like to have 2 or possibly more. It's a hard decision to make.

So what do you think as far as splitting him this weekend...Yea or Nay.

My first Maxi "propagation" was accidental when I nearly tore one in half that was attached to two different rocks. It healed so well and so quickly I went ahead and cut some. I would make sure they have had time to acclimate and are good and healthy, but otherwise they seem to be nearly bullet proof.

i say you let it acclimate to your setup and get all comfy in there for a while before cutting it, if you dont wait youll have the combined stress of acclimation and the cut. but i say go for it its very easy and straight forewatd.

I'd give it at least a couple weeks I think.
