does anyone airate(sp?) there water for any amount of time before placing in to the tank?

no, i just let my water sit for a day with a power head before i add it to the tank, unless its top off water, then i just throw the water right in.

i circulate my top off water and waterchange water with powerheads helps "airate" and mix the salt better also better than the term airate is to oxygenate the water and any circulation will do this

only problem with air stones is salt creep due to the splashing effect that it creates

I aerate and have a power head in it. the aerating is supposed to raise pH and the powerhead is to keep it mixing. I leave it in the bucket for a few days(2-3)

ive been just mixing then adding 1 5 gallon bucket at a time after mixing it, ill try this

I also use a power head and aerate my water change water. Not my top off water though.
