| Hey Miller, It depends on your water source, but I would definately use tap water conditioners and follow the directions. _________ 9YR OLD 90G 30G w/d Mag18 150G skimmer 692w MH,yel&kole tang,foxface,midas&convict blenny,B&G chromies,Blk/yel fin chromie blackcap,nemo,neon goby,6line; Blastomussa Merleti,Acan ,BUBBLE,Torch,LTA, Goniopora(2), Acropora(2),Brain, Moon, assort zoas, yel& G star polyps, R&G open brain, P&B ricordia, montiporas, cup&candy corals, enias,B/G mush,flower ane(2), cherry red mussa, dusters,cleaning crew |

| Did you know you can buy RO from many LFS's?
I also used to use distilled water, but that can get expensive at $1/gallon. My LFS sells RO for $.50/gallon. |

Go to Wal-mart and get yourself a 5 or 6 gallon jug and buy your RO from your LFS. Mine around here sell RO for $0.25 to $0.50 per gallon depending on the store, and RO-Salt for $1 per gallon at all stores.
Also, be careful using distilled water. Some distilleries use copper tubes and copper is lethal to our fish and corals in TRACE amounts. Trace = not very much. _________ 125 Gal Reef. | Tap water not best choice unless really certain of source.
May be root of many problems in new tank.
OK in my area, but you are right about aeroatating and using a good conditioner.
Use with care.
(also good advice about not using right away)
Good luck. _________ AG "125," AquaC EV 180, 30 gal sump, "SCWD", 80 lbs LR, CoralSeaLife "Moonlite" Hood, PFO 250W HQI Mini-Pendant (SPS HQI 14000k bulb)

| I also get my water from an LFS; ive good results so far. Ask your LFS if they sell their water. Mine sell the fresh water they use (free of impurities found in tap), then I just add salt. You can probably buy a test kit to test for copper and the like if you're concerned about where it comes from (and you can always ask THEM where it comes froma nd if they treat it, etc.)Also very cheap
