ive seen em together and a few tanks but large tanks i dont consider my tank to be all that big

but everything i read said it was a bad idea would tank capacity be a factor in that?

if i can swing it id definitly buy a emporer
or maybe a flame angel

or maybe both

well if you want the fish to be the centre peice - it has to be big! IMO! flames are pretty but also a pain in the arse and will drop it given the first opprotunity! plus they are also dwarfs!
An emperor angel i think would be fine, some may disagree - i also think they are fine with tangs again just imo.

yeah the flames are small but dam they look good i guess as a centerpeice type fish i want something that will be about the same size as an empror

im also thinkin about later on down the track adding nother scopus tang there a nice fish with a good personality not the nicest looking from a far but up close there not to bad

well if you get the emperor i wouldnt recommend another tang - i think you tank would be full, as this angel can grow large, but i think if you get a moderate sized one, it would have room to grow and still be big and colourful enough to be the centre peice!

I'd really love one, but my tank is not big enough for such a size fish - i think your is tho!!

get one
get one
get one

haha i hve to get paid first

the only emprors i see for sale here are about 2 inch long and still have the juvi colours on them it would be interesting to watch 1 go threw the colour changes as it matures

just out of curiosty how big do these things get ive heard they get up to a foot long maybe more if it got that big it would have to be removed.. my tank is only 3 foot long by 2 foot high and wide

it would look like 1 of those fsh at my lfs store that has no roon to turn i hate lookin at that

oh dear, my lfs has them in adult colours and juve - maybe if you asked him to order you one?

Tbh if you dont go with that one, i think should get an angel for a centre peice, they are IMO the most beautiful! I love them!

Regarding how big it grows - well i was always under the impression a fish will never out grow its surroundings
