Return Pump

Replaced return pump this A.M (Dolphin 1200).

Had not noticed how noisy old one had gotten until I replaced it with new (ViaAqua 4900).

20 years of flying helicopters (US Army) kind of wrecked my ears anyway...but wife had been complaining.

Old one had been running for almost 5 years. Was time it was swapped out.

Will make a good backup, esp. if I can find a new impeller replacement for it.

The Dolphin 1200 is no longer made - If anyone knows source, or substitute impeller assembly, please let me know.

Is the 1200 you have the 1200 SS red/rust color or blue/greay T.T pump ?

It is Model: DP-1200 (and is black)

Max Flow Rate 1,200 GPH
Max Head: 20 FT

5 year old model.

PS: Just pulled apart. Impeller is definetly shot. Slides easily up and down shaft (which is permanently affixed to impeller housing cover)

I'll call out rep at dolphin and ask them I have to order seals and impellers also for some clients pumps . I have a pile to sort through.. ):

30.00 Plus shipping for the impeller if thats all you need ? Your pump looks like the wave runner kind of its also submersible and black plastic ?
