Default My 46 gallon reef project.

Well I have been in to this hobby scince I was 11 and now I am 14(yes, yes a bit to young to be reefing) Well I have alredy cycled my tank for just over a month.

I got into this hoby with a 2.5 galllon tanks with goldfish then quicly when to a 29G tropical community tank then everything whiped out. Then I re cycled my tank and started to keep mixed ciclids(tanganika, maliwi and south american) the I went to the LFS and was looking at the saltwater section after that I was addicted. Sowhen my mom whent to Europe me an my dad when and got a 46 gallon.

After I started to shop for hardeware and I found everything I need.
My equipment is
-they hydro heater
-seaclone 150 skimmer
-46g all-gllass aquarium
-marine sock
-mag-drive 350
-charcole

-30g sump
-2x175 watt SE ushio 10k metal halides
-2x40 watts T5 HO actinics made by hagen
-Home made caopy
-mag-float 130 acrylic(i find the acrylic ones work better)
-65 gallon stand(a 46 g stand is twice the mioney then a regular 65g stand.)
-ABS plumbing

My live stock I have is
-2x occileris clown fish
-3x blue/green reef chromis
-1x royal gramma
-7-10 asorted hermits
-2 montipora colonies
-verity of mushrooms
-a hairy mushroom cloni
-about 80 lbs of tonga, jakarta and fiji.
60lbs of aragonite sand
-2 acropora staghorne corals
-1 pulsing xinia
-the oest apatisia
-few bristal stars

I plan to have a sps dominat tank.

hear are some pictures from the begining.

You might have a problem with red slime algae and green hair b/c your tank is infront of the window. Try to keep the blinds closed and dont let any sun hit the tank.

Ah, your never too young to start and enjoy a salt water tank!
Seems like you have a pretty good grasp of the marine environment and everything it entails!
Good for you and best of luck!
