Default best nano?

hey guys, i'm ALMOST convinced to get a 12 gallon nano tank, but i don't know which one to look into...

here are my options...

JBJ NanoCube
Current AquaPod
Eclipse 12 (the saltwater version)
Oceanic BioCube

it seems to me that the JBJ is the most popular, but what is the real reason? could it be that it was the first "cube"? or is it really better than the others? i should also note that i know the term "better" has different meanings to different people.... some people think higher lighting is more important (i think the biocube is the only one with an HQI option), and some people think more filtration is more important because of the small size of the tank...

i want to incorporate a chaeto fuge, so do any of these have a built in fuge? i know a lot of people just remove the filtration media and turn the built in filters into a fuge.. which has the biggest filter chamber? or are they all the same?

anyway, these are just a few questions i have... if anybody else can think of important things, fill me in! oh, if i had the money, i'd go ahead and get the redsea MAX... drs. foster and smith are running a sale that includes the MAX, starter kit (test kit, hydrometer, salt, livesand, and other stuff to jumpstart the bio system) and the stand... it sounds like an incredible deal, but its still too much money for the "initial startup"... I'd still have to buy all the liverock and stuff

I like my JBL 12 gal Nano Cube, as is well made and price is right...

If you order straight off the DFS website,

Fan-Cooled Nano Cube Aquariums

The price is 119.99 for the 12 gallon standard ($199.99 for the delux)

But if you order from them off this link,

Fan-Cooled Nano Cube Aquariums (For RC members only)

The price is $89.99 for the 12 gallon standard ($159.99 for the delux.)

Only issues I had, were I thought the stock pump was too weak, so I replaced.

And I am quite happy with the lighting in the standard (24w) as it is sufficient to keep soft corals, fish I needed to put in it, and even a couple small anems OK.

Am glad now, I did not put out the extra bucks for the delux.

You can even save more money if you can get ahold of a DFS discount code.

Good Luck...

so basically, i've gathered that there is no "best" nano... each one has a weak point that another is stronger on...

As always..."Price" vs. features you feel you want/need.

Agree omard.... If there was a perfect cube for the right price, all other companies would be out of business....
