I'm wondering, in your opinion, what the best flakes and pellets are, on the market today. I have always fed my tank Rod's Complete Reef frozen and Krill frozen and have not yet made a decision on a dry food. I'm going to need to decide on a dry food soon, for my father-in-law to feed my tank when I am away on vacation (one week).

    I am feeding:
    1 False Percula (small)
    3 Yellowtail Damsels (small)
    1 Royal Gamma (small)
1 Mandarin Dragonet (eats copepods only so he doesn't matter)
    2 Peppermint Shrimp

I am looking to buy both small pellets as well as flakes (in case I decide to buy an auto fish feeder). I have read both good and bad about Ocean Nutrition's Formula One/Two and Spectrum pellets.

    Thanks in advance

I have used formula 1 and 2 with some success, I too only feed frozen, so mine were not all that big on switching..

I also have used new life spectrum too

My fish love this stuff. But my clown won't touch formula 2 flakes

I've heard this...will your clown touch Formula 1 flakes? What about pellets?

My clowns eat anything that goes in the tank, they are not the slightest bit picky.

I'm not that experienced with foods because I tend to like coral more than fish, but cyclop-eeze has worked great for me and I hear spectrum makes some good products.

I hear ya. My Ricordea Shrooms and Blue Duncan LOVE Rod's Complete Reef frozen food. They await the feeding syringe like true junkies.

I think mine will be the same way because it tries to eat my hand/arm and my mesh net when they enter the tank.

Flakes/Pellets? What tank inhabitants do you have?
