Now the good one cost more about 20% on average. But they like us hold all fish for a few weeks to month to be sure they are healthy and eating and acclimated to tank life.. I pay that 20% every time I order from them.. I'd bet at PETCO they sell mostly cyanide collected fish hence the rep the have for dead fish floating in their tanks.. There is a lot if stuff to know about how this industry operates..Its fish eat fish if you don't know..
Minnows swimming with sharks the sharks win. Good luck with the Pet Co thing | The place deathco buys there stock from is the same place the quality LFS here buys from, its just that the deathco tanks are not taken care of and once they get a parasite in there system, they never take care of it, so every other fish that is every introduced to their systems get the parasites. _________ Got Questions? | As of right now, my methods for the QT are working. The female clown looks a lot better and the male looks perfect the coral beauty looks good too. I plan on keeping them in the QT for 6-8 weeks minimum. I am using cupramine along with hyposalinty. The salinity isnt to low right now cause I am still adjusting them to it, its 1.015. After the intial 14 day treatment with cupramine, Im doing a 50% water change and dropping it down to about 1.012, then waiting a week and treating with cupramine again and dropping the salinity down to 1.010. Then everything should be fine after that. After all treatments, I am transfering the 3 fish to a 40g holding tank and then work on stocking the QT with new fishies. Observing the new fishies for a minimum of 4 weeks and treating as needed.
As they say..."nothing good happens fast in a reef tank." |

| That sucks, But I am glad that you were able to save some of your fish.
I am sure you already know this but before you but your fish in the holding tank don't forget to slowly acclimate them back to there normal salinity |
