I have a different understanding of what ick is. Fish get ick b/c of several factors. 1. Their stressed(for whatever reason) 2. They are not eating correctly. All fish have ick, its the slimey coat that protects them from the out breaks. Fish lose their slimey coats b/c of stress or bad nutrition. Look it up. Luna

Ich sucks, i just added a uv filter and cleaner shrimp to my tank to try to get rid of this crap. Im gonna start killing the lites, didnt know that helped my chances.

am i wrong luna? i thought ich was parasites... when i asked the guy at the lfs he said that the cut probably allowed the parasites into his bloodstream and the stress from the switch in tanks probably set it off

If he's is still eating I have had good luck with "METRONIDAZOLE" from seachem, mix with the food and garlic for moisture. Get the medicine to work from the inside out.
