I'm thinking ahead before it gets to be summertime for my new reef. Has anyone had any experience with one? (preferably good) I don't care so much about a price, but I would care about the electric bill that a high end one would produce. I found this one from jbj that is only 50 watts JBJ Nano Cubes Chillers and Lighting | JbjNanoCubes.com.
My concern however is how it is used? Is the only option for using it to drill the tank? It looks like you kind of have to stick the pronged part in the water and not the base. Any thoughts here?

Most chillers basically run on a closed loop. You don't have to drill the tank but you will need intake and exhaust plumbing for the water to get to the chiller and back to the tank.
