what is the max flow rate for a one inch bulkhead? I am trying to run 710 GPH and have one hole already drilled into the tank. Is that enough?

    Thanks,

    Khalid :)

I think that it goes like this.

    3/4" - 300 gph
    1" - 600 to 700 max
    1.5" - 1400 to 1600 max

Are you sure about those rates? B/C I have a Magdrive 18 on a 1" drain bulkhead. Just curious. Luna

None what so ever, in fact, it can handle more flow. Luna

Also enlarging the pipe size of the standpipe will cause more downflow pressure on the bulkhead and you can get more flow out of the tank.

For a 1" bulkhead switch to a standpipe of 1.5 to 1.75 or even 2" to allow for more down force on the bulkhead.
