Time to upgrade from the cheap walmart powerheads.
55Gallon softey setup. Housing purple mushrooms, star polyps, zoa's. Plan on adding Xenia, Toadstool leather, Green Hairy Mushroom, and other softys. I know my shrooms hate flow, but the star polyps thrive in it.
Plan on using 2 powerheads, one for each side of tank. Should i go Koralia 1, or 2? I dont want my mushrooms to blow away, but yet i want the flow my other softys need.

I don't think I would use less than two Koralia 2's. I don't have any of those softies. My zoas did fine in a 30 gallon with a 2 and a 1 and a 300gph return.

Well, I wouldn't run any less than 2500 to 2700 GPH in the tank. Four K-2s will get you to very well. And will lessen the dead zones causes by lack of PHs.

My main concern is that with the two Koralia 3's that equals 1700gph. Which in turn is gonna turn my system over 30 times an hr, every two minutes. I dont have my frags attached in my DT, there just on Lr rubble shoved in the creveses of my LR to hold in place. BUT when i upgrade to a bigger system in the future i will appreciate the Koralia 3's..
Your the 3rd person who recommended the 3's, so i take it you guys know this stuff pretty well. I believe i will be buying Koralia 3's.
    Thanks again guys
