| Would a Refugium or Wet/Dry filter be the best choice? I am starting a 210 gallon salt water tank. Initially I will have fish and live rock with the goal of adding coral in the future. Should I start out with a Refugium or Wet/Dry filter. Also, with the same idea in mind what kind of lighting should I start with. I am trying to minimize the repurchasing of equipment when the times comes that I am able (i.e. have the time to maintain) to add coral.
Thank You,
Kevin |

| i run both a refugium and a wet/dry on my sps tank. the refugium is feed from the chillers which drains into the wet/dry to save having an extra pump.
as for lights: metal halides give alot of options
_________
just one little sps frag tank with lots of goodies |

| It seems I have many people viewing this question, but not many replies. Is there someone out there with an informative and all inclusive answer? Just to review, initially I will have an all fish salt water tank with the possibility of live rock (not a requirement) and maybe add coral in the future. The tank can be 150g or 210g to fill the space I have. |

| Some people have different opinions. But I think both will be a good option as well. As for the lights definitely MHs with vho actinic supplementation. By the way are you going to run a skimmer? You should definitely consider buying a good one. _________ 90 gallon tank with center overflows, 44 gallon custom sump/fuge, Tek T5 retrofit 4x54 bulbs, Reef Octopus nw200 protein skimmer, Iwaki WMD40RLXT return pump (changed to panworld 100pxx),Knop c ca reactor, PA light house controller. ^^ Testing it out! Ill add more param.. later. |
