I use a Mag 24 (2400 gph) hooked up to two sea swirls for my filtering duties, and a Gen-x PCX-40 (1190 gph) closed loop for circulation. It seems to work pretty good, I had some dead spots before I added the gen-x a couple of weeks ago.

It's just a pump that doesn't go through any filtering. Just an inlet to the pump and then back to the tank. It gives you flexibility if you have dead zones like I did and you don't want to add a bunch of power heads.
