Default What pump??
Ok so my original 58g I purchased used as a total setup, I have no clue what the submersible pump in the sump is but it's making an awful racket now so I'm assuming it's time for a new one. Trying to get advice on what to buy as far as GPH and brand, the LFS told me to go with a Mag-drive 7 or something like that

That noise could also mean that you just need to change the impeller. Open it up and look at the impeller and shaft. It will be cheaper, but the magdrives are good pumps, very powerful. I have a magdrive 18 on my set up.
