| Stainless Steal vs. glass heaters I'm setting up a new 30 Gallon mini reef tank. Looking at a heaters. Anyone ever use the stainless steel units ? Are they any good ? The unit I saw was:
- is shorter than the glass unit
- provides external temp control
- is of course non-breakable...
Any negatives ?
Thanks !

| Re: Stainless Steal vs. glass heaters I Have heard that they can get real hot and cause damage.. I can't say the source was a good one so I'm not sure how seriously to take it. On the upside, I like the external temperature control, size (smaller than the glass units) and the fact that it is unbreakable.

| Re: Stainless Steal vs. glass heaters Just logged on and ordered one for myself. *"Nuff said. *Will add review comments when it gets in. *I especially like the fact that the temp control is out of the tank as my tank has completely encrusted my heater with coraline. |
