Seio Powerhead out of water

Ok, so here is the situation. I use a Seio 620 along with a heater in the large container where I store our RO water. I came home yesterday and the powerhead was partially above the water line. It was running and splashing the water around. Just to be on the safe side I completely emptied the container(Ughh 40 gallons) and cleaned the container...My question is, will I be able to use the powerhead? I am kinda hesitant...

It's probably fine. Test it in a bucket or sink first.

A seio can run with the very top high and dry .. Not sure I under stand the concern ? Itf it was high enough out of the water then it would splash for sure. But if it was running as it should then its fine .. Tell me why you would think its not safe to run the pump ?

If the powerhead has been damaged due to being run partially out of water, it would have burnt up. At the very least, it would show some visible signs of its demise. To see if the powerhead works, just don't have your hand in the water with it when testing, and just make sure the powerhead is completely submerged. There's nothing special to look for; either it works or it doesn't.

So long as your testing it safely, you have nothing to fear.
