Default RO/DI Maintenance question

I have an compact reefkeeper unit from AirWaterIce (this is my first ro/di) - this is the specific unit:
www.airwaterice.com Compact Reefkeeper
I have had this unit for awhile now and I noticed its output is really slowing, is there any maintenance required to reverse this trend?, or do I need to change one of the specific filters and if so which one?

Either your water pressure in your house has gown down or you need to replace some of the filters. Is the TDS meter showing the same output as it was a few months ago? If over 100 you need to replace the filters. Typically based on how much water you make you want to replace them yearly. You will also find depending on your area that the temp of the water changes it's performance. For me I used to make my water in the garage and in the winter when the hose water is much colder my performance was cut in half.

If you haven't replaced any filters, start with the cheap ones. The prefilters like the sediment and the carbon. these clog up first and should be replaced a lot more frequently than the DI or RO.

A related question: I've had my 4-stage RO/DI for about a year with the same filters, but I'm not noticing any decreased output or poor water quality. I don't have a TDS meter; should I get one or just start replacing filters?

I would either get a new filter or a tds meter. That will tell you what to do.
You would never personally notice how your levels are doing but over time your tank sure will.

With out a TDS meter is is hard for you to know the quality of your water.
