Default Pump for RO/DI System
Hi All,
I've setup an RO/DI system and now I've got a question regarding the strength of submersible pump needed to move the water from the can to the aquarium. My RO/DI water is setup in a 32 gal can in the garage, and I need to move it approx. 20' to the aquarium. I don't want to buy a pump that's not strong enough, but also don't want to pay for more pump than I need. What pump will do the job for this, and any particular brand better than others? I've seen good comments on Mag pumps...

The Mag Drive pumps are always good.
I beleive just about any pump will work. I would say the question is more of how quick you want to move the water from the bucket to the tank as well as how thick of pvc or tubing you were planning on using.

Would one of these be sufficient, perhaps the 2300 model? They're less expensive than the Mag Drive pumps, and I don't think I need garden hose strength, just enough to get water back in the tank during a water change:

Yup that will work well.
If you have it too powerfull you would have to worry about pusing the water in the tank to much and would start a sand storm.
