Question pump??

i'm going to set up a 150gal tankand i have a 55gal sump in my basement. what size return pump would i need?

depends how much flow you want and the distance we need more info. what kind of overflow system ect.

Okay, what i mean is as you know i am setting up a 150 gal tank.I have a 55 gal sump and i need to pump water from it in the basement up to the tank. About 8 ft if that is the distance. What size overflo is recomended and what size return pump?

You do need a good size external pump for that. Also keep in mind what Reefdiver72 mentioned. If your pumping from the basement, that should be more than just 8', I would say more like 10'-12'.

is money a factor?cause you could save money buy getting a smaller pump if you put your sump under or behind your tank.you need a big expensive pump to go from the basement but if you have the money for it,great.
