pressure filter with diatomaceous earth

Anyone have experience with the System 1 diatomaceous earth pressure filter? I saw it on Dr.'s Foster and Smith's site and wonder if it could help me get rid of the snow in my mature reef. For those who know what diatoms are it seems like a fitting solution!

What kind of snow are you talking about ?

I don't know alot about this, but I have talked alot with people who use it. The guy was going to build his refugium and use it in place of mud.

Anyway you can get it alot cheaper from sites that are not catoring to us. It was alomost 1/3 of the price for him to purchase as a drycleaner.

BY snow, I mean the little particulates that drift up - maybe from the blenny's digging, or the worms, etc. I have clear water but a constant drift of particles and a few bubbles coming up. The tank is about 150 gallons with a 50 gallon sump. After cruising the South Pacific I bought a house with the aquarium already in the wall. I had a pro guy coming once a month but he got busy so I have been just maintaining it but now I want to step it up a level. The reef is about 9 years old, about 1/3 of the fish are original - lost a few in a power outage. About 20 fish lots of coral.......
