Default Powerhead noise

I recently set up my new tank and used maxijet 1200's with the sureflow 1600 upgrade kit. I seem to have a humming coming from one of the powerheads. I have taken the upgrade kit off and ensured that it is in place right and it was however i still have a loud humming comign from only that one powerhead any ideas what can be causing this noise??

If you realy want to find the trouble take out the impeller and swap it for one in the other pumps you have, if you did mean plural by "1200's" and if the noise changes pumps BINGO
you can be sure of what you are saying when you march down the lfs and tell them you would like a replacement impeller!

I have the upgrade kit. The humming sound is normal for the first few days. Also, remember that your stock MJ uses an impeller, the kit uses propellers. Different monsters.

Also, one thing you must know:

The white propeller is for the MJ 1200 ONLY and the black is for any model bellow the MJ 1200.

Side note. This upgrade kit is awesome! I was going to invest in a very expensive pw, but saw this kit at marinedepot and god damn! this gives the MJ pw's a power boost that moves some serious H2o. If you have the MJ power heads, give this kit a try.
