Default maxi jet blow out

interesting dilema:
with the new power stream upgrade the impeller shaft blew out the back of the maxijet leaving the impeller in place.

yup, the shaft with the rear rubber stopper came out the back of the jet leaving the front rubber, impeller and rotor in place. ive used maxijets for years and have never had this happen, there the sherman tanks of power heads.

Wow. How old is it? Did you Mod it? I would think it would go the other way......unless a power surge or something caused the magnetism in the magnet part to become so extreme and force it out the back.......
