| Water flow/movement is very important to corals especially!!! their are numerous reasons for having a moderate flow or greater...
Amount of live rock, size of powerheads, number of corals, dimensions of tank and design will all play a role in the number of powerheads need to supply ample amount of flow to ALL areas of your tank, as these vairables will hinder and decrease the flow supplied by powerheads!...not to mention the substrate areas and between your live rock as well! _________ 125gal.w/Mag9.5 return(dual megaflow)>Mag7 pump Aqua Cev180skimmer.Wave2k Hamilton Reefstar(2)250watthqi(mh)pend.a Yellow, Naso Tang Red Lip Blenny Percula Clown Demoiselles Niger Trigger F. | On my old 55 gal I used a WaveMaker with 3 MJ1200. Put a closed loop on it if you want more flow, will look better then a bunch of powerheads and cords hanging in the tank. _________ Scott 265g (Peninsula)

| I have 55gl with 4 mj1200 all with water deflectors attached, I run 1 24-7 and the other three are on a diy wavemaker which is also on a timmer to run during my day lighting cycle. Also I have a flurval 304 and my skimmer pushing water around.
Mind you I also have 80lbs live rock so my actual water volume is around 30-35gl .
It doesnt seem to bother any of my live stock and I still thinkI have some slow or dead spots in the tank. _________
