Default GPH of an overflow on a 90gal all glass?

Currently i have a Rio 12hf which is 750gph with a head of 9.5. Over the weekend i added some loc-line to split the return flow to both sides of my tank. The issue now is that the 750gph is now something like 250gph and no pressure. I want to add a Rio 26hf which is 1590gph with a head of 13ft. To add to the issue my over flow goes into my sump that has a seadra 5000 into my skimmer that is only 750gph. I believe that i will be overfeeding my sump and my water will not be skimmed like it is currently. All water that is returned to my tank goes through the skimmer.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how i can get more flow out of my return head with out over-feeding my sump/skimmer? And is the pump that i am looking at a good pump. The one i have currently has not given me any problems and is nice and quiet.

I have a rio 2100, so far so good, but i won't be getting anymore rio. I hear horrible stories about them. The one I fear is they 'leak' electricity into the water and will kill everything...including you if you are in contact with the water.

I just got a mag 9.5 and i am loving it.

well, you know you are not getting the full 750 GPH, right?

and i think your overflow might be 600 GPH. you need to figure out the head from pump to tank with the spliter. then u can start looking for the right pump.

if you are talking about the mega flow that is used on the all glass and oceanic reef ready models, i believe it's 600 gph per overflow. i remember someone i used to talk to had the 58g oceanic with one mega flow. he basically used both of the drilled holes as overflows, he did make his own durso's however and in turn i think he was able to get around 900-1000gph down to his sump (holes were different diameters). i believe he was using a mag drive for a return connected to a couple of u-tubes over the back of the tank, although i'm not sure which model he was using or what his head loss was. i do know that he stood behind every mag drive he ever owned, good pump in his opinion. hope that helps.

The 1 inch return pipe is the limitation to the Mega Flow it will only allow 600 gph and yes you can use both the 1 inch return and the 3/4 feed as a return to get like 1000 gph and then just run your return line up the back of the tank. I will say my 90 megaflow handled the 9.5 mag drive like a champ. The only adjustment I made was to remove the little rubber "lip" On the inside top edge of the overflow.

Starting over with a 210 RR from All Glass, Lifereef Berlin sump, skimmer (installed) and calcium reactor (ordered). Aquatraders Catalina 72" 3x400 mh 10 k/4x96 watt blue PC, Closed Loop with Little Giant 4MDQX-SC and 2- 3/4 Seaswirls.
