| carbon I have been using the carbon for my aqua clear filter. I noticed when I cleaned it that there was a few spots of a rusty red colour on the media bag. I have never seen this before, my hubby thought maybe it was blood, ya okay from what? Does anyone have any ideas?
I have just gotten my blck diamond carbon, tonight I am doing a water change and thought about changing it to that. How much do you guys put in the media bag? _________ 20g

| For the amount of carbon to be used in your filter bag, I would say a half cup of carbon is all and replace it after a few days! I also wouldn't recommend using it constantly as it along with your skimmer will remove beneficial trace minerals and vitamins etc.
With carbon a little goes along way!!!
