| Canister or Sump? I have a 40 gallon bow that right now just has an Emperor 400 hang on filter. Two PHs in the tank.
I'd like to get rid of the hang on so I can move the tank closer to my wall. Question is, do I get a canister filter like a Fluval or do I build a sump?

| I definitely like the sump over the Cannister, as you have more options available to you. _________ 125gal.w/Mag9.5 return(dual megaflow)>Mag7 pump Aqua Cev180skimmer.Wave2k Hamilton Reefstar(2)250watthqi(mh)pend.a Yellow, Naso Tang Red Lip Blenny Percula Clown Demoiselles Niger Trigger F. | yeh you should go with the sump! As stated you can hide a lot of quipment in there instead of in the main DT. But if like me you have no room for a sump, a canister is the only way to go. _________ |
