Good luck with helpful answers...i never got more than a bunch of looks but not alotta help. I ended up taking a 20L and putting a over under over 1/8" thick glass baffles in towards the center of the tank. center piece was an inch off the bottom and all were spaced an inch apart and so far is working awesome.

Thought I'd add, be sure to plan adequate space for future skimmers. Having to take a sump apart or cut away areas to make space is never fun
