Plus make sure when you shut the pumps off there is enough room for water displacement from the display tank.

How many inches does a display tank water usually drop? Im using one of my loc line hoses (as a xtra precaution) as a break siphon along with the hole in the mega flow kits elbow. So if my water level drops an inch in the 90 gallon then i lose 3.75 gallons of water to the sump. My 20 gallon sump is 30x12x12 and ill have a 7 inch water level with room for 6.2 gallons of water. I think my train of thought is correct no?

I was just reminding you to make sure you do your calculations because you don't want to come home to water on the floor after the power has been off.

I recommend putting a baffle on the opposite side of your skimmer. Keep the water level in there exact all the time. If you do not your skimmer will overflow when the water level chages.

The sump is a 20L now 30x12x12 with the same baffle setup which is now complete. Thanks for everyones help. Wouldnt the first baffle determine water level? I dont understand last post, why would i kill space with another baffle? Besides that im outta space in the sump.

Take a look here:
Sump design
the third page has my final design... with pics.

Mine is similar to yours. I wanted to put my skimmer in my sump but a 20L is way to small! I had to hang it over the side, HOT. It works but if it overflows it goes on the floor. I fixed that:
Coralife Super Skimmer 65 overflows!?

Anyway... I was going to have a chamber for intake, bioballs and carbon, next a place for my skimmer. Well the water line would have changed if I did not have 2 baffles. Anyway... yours should be ok. I wanted you to rethink things and ensure the water level is always constant in your skimmer area.
