Census of Marine Life Project -now 230,000 species This looks like a pretty cool project to identify and consolidate all the known marine life in the oceans. I doubt we'll ever get to ID "everything" in the oceans but to have a single database would be useful.
Is anyone on 3Reef associated with this Census of Marine Life project?
Some 178 new species of fish discovered this year, including a goby fish from Guam that has a snapping shrimp on its tail.
