| yes...Ich :/ using Ich Attack I've been using Ich Attack going on for over a week now. Any one have an opinion if I'm going too long and should maybe try something else? 100g. w/soft coral, crabs, BTanemone and fish. Tank was rocking until I introduced a sailfin tang (took it back after 5 days) w/out quarantining it. I wasnt too concerned because I've not had ich for at least 1.5yrs, but next thing I know my purple dottyback and chalk basslet are scratching. I run a UV sterilizer, two Emperor 400s, protein skimmer and have crushed coral. Obviously I removed the carbon. I spoke with Novalek (makers of Ich Attack) and they told me I could turn on the UV and protein skimmer about an hour after intro. of the medication. The most spots I've seen on any fish was maybe 4 on a small maroon clown so I know it's still roaming around in there and I see the dottyback, basslet and black blenny scratching now and then. I'm debating to try Kick Ich or go buy a 3rd bottle of Ich Attack... what a PITA. I've lost nothing to ich by the way, but I don't feel like they're in the 'all clear' yet. Also, I soak their food in Kent's Garlic Extreme and have been adding Marine Max every other day. oh yeah...the lights are on 6 hours each day and I raised the temp to 82deg.
Thank you for any input

| in my experience, all the anti ich treatments that are reef safe simply dont work! I did read somewhere that when dosed correctly malachite green is reef safe and effective, but thats a risk.
You would prob be better off with a cleaner shrimp!! _________ You will never know whats in my tank as i can only type 15 words |
