The same goes for anytime you dip your fish in anything even if you use tank water mixed with a dipping medicine.

I haven't put a single fish into any tank of mine without a freshwater dip no matter how healthy they looked. All corals are treated as well (obviously not in freshwater).

Generally clownfish can handle a freshwater bath. But I agree with what has been said here. PLUS, it is always useful to research all treatments before using them. Some fish can handle freshwater dips, others cannot. Some can handle hyposalinity, others cannot. Treatment is truly on an individual basis.

hey same problem i have but so far i lost 2 clown fish and 3rd one is sick his skin is peeling whitish powdery skin. i did fw deeping for my 2nd one (RIP) but no luck and i don't know i wish i had QT

That sounds more like marine velvet(dinoflagelettes).
