I would try to slow down a little bit with all your adding of chemicals as soon as you see some troubles in your tank expecialy when it is a new addition ( I dont just men you either)
For new additions it can be as long as 1-2 weeks befor some corals will re-open and others days or hours they sure can be funny like that.
If it is a older coral that is starting to turn then the best thing to do is test/waterchange/retest and then come to a conclusion as to what you may need to add .
But I dont mean decide to mod all paramiters in one sitting either as this will probably create more of a stressfull enviornment for all of the other tankmates aswell.

Small correctional changes over time is the best way to find sucsses.

As the all to familiar saying goes-----Nothing good happens fast in a reet tank

Well here is the latest, last week it was so saggy it fell of its rock and was rolling on the sand, I picked it up and placed into a hole on a new piece of live rock. For a few days it seemed to get smaller, I thought it was dead then it perked up and now it is opened and pumping.

I just picked up a new overflow, the crs 100 so I hope my water turnover increase will help, i also added two new materials into the sump, Bio-Glass and Cell_Pore Biomedia, so they may hhave had something to do with it, apparently they provide macu more area for beneficial bacteria to grow, I have noticed the water clarity is much clearer.

Xenia does better with an elevated nitrate level from my experience with maintaining it for the past couple years successfully. Good water flow, iodine supplement and light are also necessary!
