Tight Lipped is catching on

Default Is My Anenome Sick Or Dying????

I have had a long tentacle Anenome in my tank since September, he has ben doing very well since then and has been growing, a tomato clown makes his home there as well and up until two weeks ago he stayed in one spot and would swell pretty large. About 6", I even had to move some LR around him to protect my corals.

In the last two weeks he has seemed to shrink and been moving around alot, this morning he was very small, about the size he was when I purchases him, maybe 2-3", he has a nice purple color still but I am not sure here.

His tentacle seems very thin as well, I have been trying to give him some chopped shrimp and other food, he grabs it but I do not see him taking it in.

The tomato takes food to him too but I don't know if he is eating it or not.

Any advice?

Secondly, I have done some work on the tank in the last few weeks to bring the Ca up, I had to add Epsom Salt, now the ca is up around 440 and Mg over 1300

Sounds like he's either adjusting to the water or not liking it. Mouth open? Looking wrinkly and leathery? Probably not much ygat can be done except watch it. If it starts to slime he's done for.

It is known for anemones to have a great demand for lights, and 110w is kind of low.
anyhow it all depends on your size tank, 4 to 8w per gal. is recomended
hope that they are doing better
