| They can be very poor shippers so if you can find a healthy one locally I would go for it. Make sure it was not just recently fragged. It's had more than enough time to heal.
They are very susceptible to a black band type disease which once strikes takes them quickly.
I keep mine under 250w halides and a moderate flow and for some reason every one I have ever had here always attracts a hermit crab that seems to live on top of the leather with no ill consequences. |

| The person who I will be purchasing it from runs a company and he never sells his frags until they are ready. I got my xenias's from him, they are very nice and he's 10 mins from my home. It's funny about your hermit story because I always find hermits on my finger leather and it doesn't bug it at all.
Thanks for the help. |

| I am not sure about the similarities, but I had the pink/brown colored leather. Beautiful coral. It's grew quite huge and always opened it's little fingers which actually my false percula loved to swim in. I had it in a 40G w/ 296W PC's, in the upper middle section with moderate to light flow. I had to place it in several spots to see which it liked. I have 'trates at 5-10 (i have 2 clams) and it never complained. Hope this helps... |

| Yellow Fiji Leathers are sweet!!! I would love to get one also. Like most leathers, they are really hardy once they are aclaimated. Like said they are bad shippers, but if it is 10min away from your house im 100% sure it will make it, lol. I see you have t-5's. Youll be good for lighting, and your water looks good too. Most softies like alittle nitrates, and nutience in the water. Place it middle to high and grow that puppy out . You know your gonna have to post pics!!!!!

| Oh I am so happy that I got the yellow frag. I fell in love with these leathers when I started this hobby and getting them out here is not easy so when I got the chance I jumped at it. The frag is so tiny but it looks healthy and polys are all extended already. It's in a high flow area and a little lower in the tank because it's on a plug but as soon as I can add a piece of LR it's going up a bit higher. Pics are on the way. |
