| Re: When is a good time to add corals I'm with J on this. Soft corals are great to start with. I'd suggest some star polyps and mushrooms. _________ &&&&20 Gal. , Millenium 1000 & 2000 filter, 130watt Corallife 50/50 reef lamp. | Re: When is a good time to add corals You can move corals hottie!
* But you want to plan out what you are going to do. Thinking about light and water motion. Will either of these be to drastic of a change? It also depends on the situation. I have a L.T.A. and his foot is anchored on the bottom glass under like 4 in. of sand. I think he will stay there permanently. It would be sooo hard too get him out of there and the stress could kill him.
* Stoney corals are easy to move. Be gentle and move them by there skeleton. Be sure where you put them the are sturdy. Give them 3 days to settle into the move, before you even think about moving them again. The best thing to do is try to replicate where they were happy before.

| Re: When is a good time to add corals You can also get a box of surgical gloves with NO powder inside! So any oils, lotions, etc. won't irritate the coral and the coral won't irritate you! The purple one's that are not latex with longer wrists are my favorite for this! |
