Not sure what kind they are, i am thinking green striped mushrooms or even more so i think they are watermelon mushrooms?

Cool new stuff. One of my first corals also. That's a button polyp you got with them. Keep an eye on it, they will spread quite readily also. Cool stuff.

Is it normal for the mushrooms to start closing up even when the lights are still on is this because they have had enough light for the day, they are getting bigger every day but they shrink small through the night and get large through the day?

yeah i got some button polyps as freebies on a piece of rock in my 58g now their all over the place, there is new ones popping up all of the time all over the rock on differnet parts of the tank, how it gets around like that I dont know but it's pretty cool

great looking shrooms to btw
