| | 3reef Moderator | LPS cause the most waste if not removed. Some Soft corals can cause trouble but SPS will do very little to water q. Unless of course it a mass die off.

| I would remove any dying corals to a quarantine tank. Unfortunately, I don't see many lfs' around here that have q-tanks and in this day and age, they stand to lose a lot of their stock to and pass on the many bugs that have been plaguing the hobby for the past few years. |

| My experience has been that LFS's will leave "sick" corals in their display tanks to their very last breath of life, in the hope someone may buy them.
That is why so important to hopefully view coral for few days or longer before purchasing. Is big advantage of buying from LFS rather then on-line.
