Default shape changing mushroom

has anyone ever seen this before? recently the little guy was moved to a higher flow area....and for the picture i moved the mushroom down to the substrate, so anyone who wants to verify whats going on could view it better.

the side of the mushroom that is becoming a "balloon" was facing away from the current...basically acting like a parachute. it's almost as though the mushroom was trying to "net" it's food.....

here are some pictures:

Looks normal to me. Mine will do that also. Typically after they have caught a good piece of food. It is odd though. Mine never did that before then all of a sudden they started doing it for a few days and then not since. I wonder if it has to do with reproduction.

i hadn't thought of reproduction, although the mushroom in question is back to it's former self...when you experienced this, did your mushrooms reproduce?

looks to me like feeding behavior. My green hairy's do that, turning themselves totally inside out, but only when I feed pellets that drop on them. Could be wrong, but I don't think it is reproduction.

My Green Hairy shrooms do that sometimes during feeding, it's not uncommon-
