Default ricordia havin babies
I bought a ricordia about 2 months ago and it is doing just great but the little ones (4 of them) seem to be very tight to the mother. I am wondering is this a bad situation for the parent shroom? will these babies crowd her too much and cause stress. The only way I know to move them is to break the rock apart and move them that way? Any suggestions or should I just leave them alone. I found a fith one on the underside of the rock today.
Also, there is what I have been calliin a sponge on the underside of the rock with a very long tentacle reaching out away from the rock about 2 inches. Am I right that it is a sponge? I will attach pitures.

Yup, that looks like a sponge to me. As for the ricordias, i dont think there should be a problem. I know alot of people with patches covered with ricordias all very close to each other.

The babies will move on their own to a space where they can be happy and healthy so no worrries there. Congrats on the new "babies"

Yup, make sure to watch them, if they start to loosen off the rock you can take advantage and place them where you want them. Amcarrig...i still cant get over that picture. I volunteer at a animal shelter and there is one cat that does that exact same face when i pull him out of his little house back into his cage (sorry) for the night.

The babies will not bother it, they live in packs. Now, if they start to become too crowded, they will break off and form their own families. I can't see the picture well, so I can't really agree with Bruce there and say it's a sponge. Although there are sponges that stick up.
