| Polyps & Polyps Ok I got four Polyp frags from an LFS. They are starting to look nice. I got the green kind and then the white kind.
I know, lots of current, right? And lots of light. Iodine level must be ideal, I assume it is because both my pep and skunk shrimps molt regularly. Aside from that I supplement Iodine, and I will start to supplement strotium, soon.
Am I missing anything? Any suggestions please? What have you seen work with these little guys?
Could there be a problem if two different colored polyps grew together in the same area? _________ &&&&20 Gal. , Millenium 1000 & 2000 filter, 130watt Corallife 50/50 reef lamp. | Re: Polyps & Polyps Yellow polyps (not a zoanthid BTW) propigate like no ones business. Of all polyps, yellows are considerred by many to be a pest. I had them take over a 10g a few years back. I had to get rid of all the rock sa they coverred every surface. If your not seeing them spreed wuickly, do the method Craig mentioned, it works great.

| Re: Polyps & Polyps i bought yellow polyps about couple of months ago and when i bought them they had a lot more polyps on it. But since then they've started disappearing. I have a brittle star and 4 hermit crabs. They have also kind of shrunk. they started out to be long and open but now there small and closed mostly. My light is on as always, my 260 watt PC's. |
