Default Please help me ID this
I got this colory last week and it had this clam thing on it. What is it? The guy it came from said he did not see it. How can it be missed? I put the rock in the tank and went back to work and when I came back home to check after work the rock moved when I walked up to the glass! I had set the rock clam side down and when the clam opened to filter he was lifting the rock up. Thats 1 strong clam thing. Can you ID this little guy. Its about the size og a 50 cent coin

It's some type of oyster IMO, but without a macro shot, who knows.

I Think I found it ( Thanks to Jason and his link...THNKS)
It is Chamidae (Jewel Boxes). It is cemented to the rock just like the one in the link. Looks like the same shell too. And you are right is a type of Oyster. Mabey there is a pearl.
