Sometimes they will move themselves if they aren't happy, they will also move at times as a means of reproduction and spreading as they will move from one place to another, but leave a piece of itself in the original spot(daughter shroom) to grow into an exact replica of the original one!!!

Ive never seen them spead all around the tank before. Like CR said, they will move and leave alittle piece of fleash, and that will turn into a clone or they will split and make two. Mybe your shrooms are going sexual some how and spreading.

I never had them go clear across my tank before just a few inches. That's rad that you got stuff moving all around your tank, kudos to you!

It is possible that your mushrooms got dislodged and the current relocated it to another part of your tank as well...That has happened to me numerous times, unfortunately when my corals get dislodged, they get relocated under my live rock at the bottom of my tank so retrieving it would be a nightmare! I had a beautiful frag of the most vivid pink zoos imagineable(5 polyps on a disk). The polyps came off and I can't find them anywhere($30.00 down the drain) I'm just hoping that they attached somewhere where they are receiving the beneficial light they need to grow and spread and for me to find down the road in my tank!!!
