Default Leather toad stool not doing good

My leather is wilting over and has a ton of stuff all over it that looks like a scab that healing. Does anyone know what could be going on? Do they like alot of light. My Nitrates are high right now 60-70ppm. Could this be it.

They regularly shed. Give it some good flow.

They do close up for sometimes long periods...and shed surface skin when coming out of it.

If big hunks starting to look like decay...chop out what you can.

When they do emerge from "hibernation" they are larger and prettier then ever.

Normally no need for alarm.

Agreed, leathers often do this , they'll get a glassy look all over them ' and when they begin coming out of their little "molt" as i call it , they look better than ever, more vibrant and fully extended.

This happened to me about 6 months ago, once it shed it looked more magnificent then ever....I would not be overly concerned, at least for a couple of weeks. I know I panicked when I saw this, as I am fairly new to reefing...Now, 3 of my leathers have done this and they always come back better then ever...
